ZTE is faced with a restriction on the use of US technology

In recent years, Chinese companies have made great progress and become serious competitors for manufacturers A-Class. But now, for them it is a difficult time. Reuters publication, citing its own sources, reported that the US Department of Commerce is going to ban the purchase of ZTE components and other products from American suppliers. On March 8 this year, local companies need to obtain a license for the export of products to ZTE. Such measures introduced allegedly illegal export from the United States to Iran.

US authorities currently suspected ZTE and Huawei in economic espionage. Both companies declined to provide any information about its activities. Based on this, the United States does not consider ZTE and Huawei are independent of the influence of the Chinese government agencies. In addition, earlier it was reported that one of Huawei network services transmits data directly department of China's information security army.
It is likely that ZTE, Huawei and other "unconfirmed" Chinese companies have to abandon the use of US components and technologies in their devices.
