The next iPhone may be a watertight

Despite the fact that Apple has not made any official statements regarding the waterproof iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, water immersion test showed that the company has been working in this direction - the new smart phones keep working shape even after an hour of being in the water.  The only serious drawback - the water gets to all ports and connectors that can lead to irreversible consequences. Today, however, Apple has filed a patent application for a so-called self-healing elastomer (self-healing elastomer), which will be used to protect the ports and connectors for future iPhone.

The idea of the patent is that the cable connecting the elastomer will be deformed without interfering compound. By disconnecting the cable elastomer will recover and prevent the penetration of moisture. The network has the first images appeared, about illustrating the process of functioning of technology.

Recall that Apple patents a lot of creative ideas, most of which did not come to life. However, given the work done to improve the water resistance of the company's products, self-healing elastomers may well become a reality.
